On 21 March 2022 Alban Berg’s “Wozzeck” was premiered at Vienna State Opera (performances until 3 April). Christian Gerhaher is in the title role, with Anja Kampe as Marie. Performances are conducted by Philippe Jordan, with Simon Stone responsible for the stage production, drawing inspiration from Alban Berg’s study.
